Rest is a necessity, not a luxury.

I wish I’d known this a long, long, long, long time ago.

When we deeply rest we allow our body to restore itself. By allowing our body to turn on its inner healing program through resting we benefit in incredible ways. Adequate rest allows our mental health to improve, our immune system to get stronger, we reduce stress through rest and that allows us to navigate our days with more calmness and control over our responses.

Resting creates the space for our bodies to return to a state of homeostasis because we aren’t asking it to do anything, we’re allowing it to reset into a state of health and peace.

We all need a certain amount of rest (or: sleep) in order to function, let alone thrive. Occasionally we experience circumstances where we can’t get that minimum level of rest we need (like when we have a baby and don’t sleep for years, or when we face a crisis - I’m looking at you global pandemic) and without that deep rest we need in order to maintain our wellness, we start to break down physically, mentally, and emotionally.

The importance of prioritizing rest wasn’t something I understood or accepted until I hit rock bottom and found myself halfway to adrenal failure.

Because I’d pushed myself so far beyond my capacity without adequately resting - it became something I had to get really intentional about in order to heal.  I needed to understand that in order to regain and maintain my health I needed to rest, a lot, like a real ton. 

We all need to rest, but what I discovered about myself is that as a highly sensitive person, empath, and a Projector in Human Design - I needed more rest than the average person. In everyday life, I need more rest than others, but on top of that:

As a first time mother, I needed deep rest,  

and a second-time mother I needed even more deep rest,  

and as an entrepreneur,

and when I’ve faced crises with my loved ones,

and when I’ve been sick,

and when I’ve been experiencing challenges mentally or emotionally,

and when I’ve been manifesting on a whole new level…

I’ve needed deep rest.

I have a very active brain and it’s hard for me to turn it off in order to rest, so even if I had the time to rest I couldn’t always access the depth of rest I needed to restore myself to a healthy place.  

I needed a way to go deeply relaxed, quickly.

This Align with Deep Rest hypnosis audio is what I created to drop us into that state of deep rest and program into our subconscious that resting is beautiful, healing, necessary and that we have permission to rest to support our overall wellness.

I use this Align with Deep Rest audio a lot because it feels so good to hit the reset button physically, mentally, and emotionally in the middle of the day.  It supports my wellness which supports me as a mother, partner, entrepreneur, Projector, and empath. I even use it after I do 1:1 sessions with clients because it allows me to come back into my own being after holding space for others so intentionally.

Best Practices to Get the Most From The Align with Deep Rest Hypnosis Audio:

  • Find a space that is safe where you will not be disturbed, and will allow you to comfortably relax for the duration of the Align with Deep Rest audio. Lying down will allow you to be very deeply relaxed to the point you may fall asleep so be aware that if you need to be back up and at ‘em at the end of the audio you should set an alarm.

  • Earphones/Headphones will enhance the experience and allow you to go deeper. Note: sometimes we need to rest but also listen for a baby waking up from a nap (or similar). When I need to rest but also be aware, I will listen to this audio with one earphone in and one ear available to listen to my surroundings.  It’s not as deep as you will go with undivided attention given to the audio but it will give you deeper rest than not listening to the audio at all.

  • If you feel drawn to placing something over your eyes you may, but it's not necessary.

  • Your willingness to explore this hypnosis audio is what brings it to life, so be curious and willing to commit to a regular practice of engaging with this content regularly.

  • Never listen to this hypnosis audio while driving or doing anything where it would be unsafe to be in a deeply relaxed state.
