Be Like the Sun

The message was: do not press another button on that keyboard until you do what you didn't do this morning.

I listened.

I've learned to make myself sensitive to the guidance that doesn't come from my head (that's the last place I want to lean into for direction) and then trust what I'm being shown and then do it. Not later. Right then.

Here's the story.

I had a bit of insomnia and moved to the couch so I wouldn't keep Aaron up. So when I woke up, I wasn't in my bed, which threw me off my morning ritual.

My morning ritual looks something like this: I sit up in bed and sometimes pop in a hypnosis audio. I bring myself into presence mentally, energetically, and spiritually through a simple ceremony. I set my energetic tone for the day and anchor that in. Then I grab a notebook where I track gratitude, my intention for the day, and actions that will move me closer to my goals. And finally, I write a quantum manifestation page.

But on this day, I was wonky from sleep disturbance and wasn't myself. I grabbed my notebook, jotted down my gratitude and intention, and got to my desk. I was typing something when I felt a nudge to stop and do my ceremony. So I did. And as I got to a particular part where I was asking for guidance, my attention was pulled to the sunbeam shining through the window, and that's when it dropped in.

Here's the message that came through:

During daylight hours, the sun is always present, but it's not always visible.

Humans can be visible but not present.

We're in a season where many are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, and like they need more space or less on their plates. I've received so many messages resounding with this theme that I feel really strongly that what came through was for exactly where we're at.

This is a new time in history. Astrologically, we're only a few months into an entirely new energy, one none of us have experienced in this life. We're getting our sea legs. And if we're waiting for things to change so we feel better, not so stressed, less anxious, we will suffer.

We're meant to be like the sun.

Which is to be present with yourself all the time. Slow down long enough for your soul to catch up to you in the fast-paced, over-committed, scheduled-to-the-edges-of-your-human-capabilities life you're living. Come home to yourself and make that home a safe and loving space.

Be present with yourself, always.

And choose when to be visible to the world.

You don't have to be everything to everyone, and you certainly can't meet others if you aren't present and at home in yourself in the first place.

Your soul is the very essence of you.

If you haven't created a safe space for it in your human story and you're living from a list of human "shoulds," or you're letting your human beliefs crowd out the ones from your soul, then here's my question to you:

If you aren't present and at home with your soul, who's your partner married to?

Who's raising your children?

Who's doing the work you do?

If not your soul, then who?

The shell of yourself? Your human representative? The person you think you're supposed to be who's checking the boxes, who's visible but not present?

It's time to come home so that you can navigate the now and the unknown ahead.

Wipe out the noise. Create more white space (you're worthy of it and of saying "no," even if it's to things or people you usually want to say yes to). Choose how and when you want to be available to the world.

Be like the sun because, like the sun, your presence is powerful whether or not you're visible. We'd rather be in a world where we can't see you but feel your beautiful, stable, at-home-ness energetically.
