The Venn Diagram You Want to Be In

I was sitting between two powerful women in a blacked-out UberXL on Wednesday night headed to dinner, and I suddenly realized I was sitting in the crotch of the Venn diagram of their energy fields.

"I'm in your Venn diagram! And it's exactly where I want to be!"

This was such a good moment, because for a while I've been aware of what happens when you access someone's field, whether in person or virtually. There's an activation that happens in your field. It says yes or no.

It can be stretchy or full-blown uncomfortable, even in the yes version.

When this person is an expander for you, they have something you desire (confidence, a relationship, health, money, worthiness, vision, an epic calling), something incredible happens when you tap into their energy.

Here's what it is: that person is able to hold an energetic frequency that's attractive to you for whatever reason.

It's an invitation to come to where they are. Meaning, it's your soul inviting you to journey from where you are to where they are energetically, because there's something along the way that's meant for you.

When you're in their field, you're Venn-diagramming with them.

Your energetic field is taking in information from theirs (if you have the capacity in your field to take it in, that is).

When you take it in, it's going to show you things like:

A) How you feel and what you think in their frequency, in your nervous system and conscious mind.

B) Where you want to retreat from their field because you can't handle the activation.

C) Where your work is, if you wish to say yes to the invitation your soul is offering through this person and the work they've done to stabilize themselves at this level.

The thoughts that come up when you enter, sit in, or exit the energy of someone like this are gold.

If you pay close enough attention, you'll hear the stories of the expansion you're on the verge of, or the limitation you'll let keep you from following the beckoning of your soul.

When I was sitting with these women, I was highly aware of the expansive energy, including my own. And then, unexpectedly, my soul stepped to the side and said, "This is where you need to be, this is how you need to feel, more and more. You can't get to where we need to be without putting yourself around others who are where you know you're meant to be next."

I shared this in an SFM alum call and laid out that if you only travel in the circles of your comfort and habit, you will stay in the same frequency.

You've heard the saying that you're the sum of the five (or is it eight?) people you spend the most time with. This is what I'm talking about.

If you desire growth and expansion in any area of your life, now is your opportunity to take stock of where the people in your life are in that area of their life. This will give you big insights into why you are where you are.

If you don't have someone (ideally more than one someone) who's holding a frequency of where you want to expand into, you need to find one. Interrupt the pattern of energetic sameness.

Make sure the people influencing your energy are where you want to be, not where you are or where you've been. It's okay to be an expander for others, but you need to have expanders too, otherwise we all stay the same.

And then, when the journey to that new place requires some attention to what's holding you back from getting there, be willing to look at it and heal it out of the way so that you can keep going.

People are waiting on you to get there. Just like your soul.
